The Edge Awards What is the EDGE Award? Eligible businesses include those headquartered in San Juan County, as well as those headquartered elsewhere which provide significant local employment and other economic benefits within the county. Purpose of the EDGE Award:
The San Juan EDGE Award is presented annually in September to one or more companies located in San Juan County, for excellence in one or more of the following categories: Export Category: A business that contributes to the county's economic base by producing goods or services locally for export outside the region. Economic Wage Category: A business that contributes to the county's economic base by creating local jobs that pay above-average wages. Import Substitution Category: A business that contributes to the county's economic base by producing goods or services for local consumption that would otherwise be imported into the region.
